Invest for children has made a donation to Fundación Conciencia to acquire a van, which will have multiple uses: transporting children to activities and school, collecting donations in kind, and transporting the social educator to the families’ homes, among other uses. Fundación Conciencia is a non-profit organization that works in the social field, primarily on a project to help children who suffer from abuse, exploitation, aggression, rape, or sexual abuse.
At Fundación Conciencia, we work hand in hand with the children’s families, social workers, private investigators, psychologists, lawyers, mediators, members of state security forces, public administration officials, and other non-profit organizations.
Additionally, we participate in improving the child protection system through proposals for legislative changes (some of which were accepted in the Law on the Protection of children and Adolescents), changes in action protocols, promotion of the role of parental coordinators, courses to improve parenting skills, coaching for parents, and support for parents whose children are in foster care or residential centers, in an attempt to reunite them with their families (in cases where this is most beneficial for the child).
