Sloan-K. Cancer Center

We have finished the collaboration with the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York by financing a research on Retinoblastoma managed by Dr. David Abramson and his team. This is the most common malignant cancer of the eye in children. For more than 100 years the only treatment was the removal of the eye; but in this new research, Dr Abramson has demonstrated that this technique is no longer necessary and that 95% of the eyes treated can be saved.
